MONTE CARLO, Monaco, April 19 (UPI) -- The top four ranked men's tennis players in the world moved on to the third round of the Monte-Carlo Masters in Monaco.
Top-seeded Roger Federer of Switzerland took 45 minutes to oust Spaniard Alberto Martin 6-0, 6-1.
Federer, who is 30-1 this year, is the current Wimbledon, U.S. Open and Australian Open champion as well as the winner of the two Masters Series tournaments this season -- Indian Wells and Miami.
Monte-Carlo is the third Masters of the nine played.
Federer's only loss of the year was to the No. 2 seed, Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who moved on at Monte-Carlo by beating France's Jean-Rene Lisnard 6-4, 6-1.
No. 3 David Nalbandian of Argentina and No. 4 Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia also won their second-round contests.
No. 6 Guillermo Coria of Argentina, the 2004 Monte-Carlo champion and 2003 and 2005 runner-up also moved to the third round, The Sports Network reports.
The winner of the tournament earns $418,000.
