MLB: Baltimore 6, Tampa Bay 3

TAMPA, Fla., April 10 (UPI) -- Erik Bedard threw seven shutout innings, and Jay Gibbons had a solo homer and two RBI Monday as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 6-3.

Miguel Tejada had three hits with an RBI and scored once for Baltimore. Ramon Hernandez knocked in two runs for the Orioles.

Toby Hall went 3-for-4 and hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning for the Devil Rays.

Bedard (2-0) allowed four hits, walked two and struck out five. He moved to 5-2 lifetime against Tampa Bay. Chris Ray picked up his second save, striking out three batters in the ninth after Tim Byrdak surrendered Hall's homer.

Seth McClung (0-2) was charged with seven hits and five runs over five innings.
