NHL: Calgary 5, Phoenix 2

CALGARY, Alberta, April 6 (UPI) -- Stephane Yelle scored the deciding goal Wednesday night to help Calgary beat the Phoenix Coyotes, 5-2.

Dion Phaneuf and Kristian Huselius also had a goal and an assists; Yelle added an assist; while goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff made 24 saves for the Flames (43-24-9), who have won four of their last five contests and moved five points ahead of Colorado for first place in the Northwest Division.

Shane Doan had a goal and one assist; Geoff Sanderson also scored once; Jamie Rivers, Derek Morris; Shane Doan, and Mike Comrie added assists; and goalie Phillipe Sauve made 32 saves on 37 shots for the Coyotes (36-36-4).

Calgary has won eight of its last 10 contests against Phoenix, which remained in last place in the Pacific Division.
