Busch bumps and runs to victory

BRISTOL, Tenn., March 26 (UPI) -- Kurt Busch bumped Matt Kenseth out of the way and then drove past him with four laps to go Sunday to win the Food City 500 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

The half-mile track produced a typically rough race with feelings left raw by the long afternoon of close racing.

Kenseth called Busch's bump-and-run tactic a "cheap shot," but it was nothing unusual for Bristol. Kenseth wound up dropping to third place behind Kevin Harvick.

Carl Edwards was fourth, Bobby Labonte fifth and Mark Martin sixth.

While battling to stay in third place, Kenseth came in contact with Jeff Gordon's car, sending Gordon into a spin and an eventual slide back to 21st place.

Gordon sought out Kenseth on pit road and gave him a shove before NASCAR officials stepped between them.
