NHL: San Jose 5, Phoenix 4 (OT)

GLENDALE, Ariz., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- San Jose's Tom Preissing scored 1:54 into overtime to give the visiting Sharks a 5-4 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes at Glendale Arena Sunday night.

Joe Thornton finished with a goal and two assists for the Sharks, who have won three in a row. Patrick Marleau scored twice and Nils Ekman had a goal and an assist in the win. Goaltender Vesa Toskala finished with 34 saves.

For Phoenix, Fredrik Sjostrom, Dave Scatchard, Jamie Lundmark and Steven Reinprecht all tallied goals for the Coyotes, who have dropped six of their last seven games.

Curtis Joseph allowed five goals on 24 shots in the loss.
