ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Hunter Haas carded a 9-under-par 63 Thursday to grab a one-stroke lead after the first round of the FUNAI Classic at Orlando, Fla.
Twelve-time PGA Tour winner Mark Calcavecchia and Steve Lowery, a two-time winner, each shot 8-under 64 to share second place with joining Ryan Moore, Geoff Ogilvy, Pat Perez and J.J. Henry.

A group of eight players including Nick Price, Charles Howell III, Jason Gore and Tom Lehman came in at 7-under 65.
Tiger Woods, a two-time winner of this event, stands in a tie for 44th place at 4-under 68.
The highest first-round score was 3-over 75, shot by -- among others -- Mark O'Meara, John Cook and Steve Flesch.
The total purse for this tournament is $4,200,000.
