MLB: Chi. White Sox 3, Cleveland 2 (13)

CLEVELAND, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Ross Gload hit a two-run double in the 13th inning Friday night as the Chicago White Sox beat Cleveland, 3-2.

Willie Harris also had an RBI and Scott Podsednik had two hits and scored a run for the White Sox, who have won three in a row to clinch the American League Central Division crown. They will now have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, including the World Series. Winner Cliff Politte rose to 7-1 and Bobby Jenks earned his fifth save.

Victor Martinez extended his hitting streak to 13 games and Ronnie Belliard had two hits and drove in both runs for Cleveland, which now trails both Boston and the New York Yankees by one game for the top spot in the American League wild-card chase.

Losing pitcher Fernando Cabrera dropped to 2-1.
