MLB: Cleveland 5, Seattle 0

SEATTLE, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Cleveland's C.C. Sabathia tossed a five-hit shutout to beat the Seattle Mariners 5-0 Monday.

Sabathia (11-9) struck out eight batters and walked one. It was his first complete game this season.

Omar Vizquel, Travis Hafner, Casey Blake and Matt Lawton hit home runs for Cleveland, which ended a five-game losing streak.

Gil Meche (4-6) gave up three of the homers and took the loss.
