NHL: Buffalo 5, Washington 2

BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Miroslav Satan scored twice to end an 11-game drought Wednesday night as Buffalo denied Washington its first winning streak of the season, 5-2.

J.P. Dumont and defenseman Dmitri Kalinin each added a goal and an assist for the Sabres.

The only NHL team yet to win consecutive games, Washington needed just 97 seconds to take the lead. Robert Lang scored his 13th goal of the season off a feed from Jaromir Jagr, extending his points streak to 13 games.

The subject of persistent trade rumors, Jagr left shortly thereafter with a groin injury and did not return.

The news only got worse for the Capitals as Kalinin tied it with 25 seconds left in the first period and Ales Kotalik put Buffalo ahead just over seven minutes into the second.
