Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A manatee that was previously rehabilitated in Florida was rescued by marine specialists in an hours-long operation.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission worked together with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to rescue the manatee, named Camlee, after the animal was found to be underweight and not eating in Apollo Beach.

Camlee was taken to ZooTampa, where officials said she is being monitored and receiving fluids.

The manatee was previously released into the canal at TECO Energy's Manatee Viewing Center in January 2018 after two years of care at ZooTampa's Critical Care Center.

ZooTampa said Camlee was still wearing a FWC satellite tracking collar when she was rescued Sunday.
