Stew Leonard's in Norwalk unveiled the cheese sculpture, in the shape of the company's "Customer Service Rock of Commitment," Monday in a ceremony attended by Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling. Meghan Bell, the store's director of public relations, said the block is about 2,000 pounds heavier than the current Guinness World Record holding cheese sculpture. She said the store expects to have the record certified in the coming weeks. Bell said the block was being sliced Tuesday and will be sold at Stew Leonard's locations in New York and Connecticut. "Not only is it a great cheddar," Bell told The Hour newspaper. "It's a cheddar with a very exciting past."
