June 6 (UPI) -- A Utah man captured video of an unusual swimmer he spotted while cruising on a reservoir -- a rattlesnake.
Randy Hatch's video, which went viral on Facebook, shows the venomous serpent slithering across the surface of the water.
Hatch said he filmed the video while out on the Sand Hill reservoir.
"That there's a rattlesnake out for a swim on Sand Hollow," Hatch wrote.
Rattlesnakes are frequently spotted during the summer in Utah, and state officials recommend giving the snakes a wide berth to avoid unwanted encounters and potentially deadly bites.
