Feb. 20 (UPI) -- A San Francisco woman who lost her wedding and engagement rings while traveling said the precious lost items were hand-delivered to her by a United pilot.

Brit Morin tweeted that she lost her wedding ring and her diamond engagement ring while traveling between New York and Jackson Hole, Wyo., last week.

The rings turned out to have been found by a United Airlines gate agent, who put them in a safe.

The lost items were hand-delivered to Morin by a United pilot, who also included a note congratulating her on her wedding.

"I have a newfound faith in humanity and airlines," Morin tweeted. "Thanks United."

United said in a reply to Morin's tweet that officials plan to recognize the gate agent and pilot for going above and beyond.
