Kangaroo appears out of nowhere and crashes into cyclist

Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A cyclist taking an Australia Day ride on a Queensland road was knocked off her bicycle when a kangaroo crossing the road crashed directly into her.

The crash, which was filmed by another cyclist and posted to YouTube by user JussarianLives, shows the woman traveling down a road in the Boonah region when the kangaroo suddenly appears and knocks her to the ground.

The kangaroo is able to hop away.

The uploader said the cyclist, named Rebecca, required some stitches in her knee and partially dislocated her shoulder.

The uploader said Rebecca is now about to have "a good laugh" about the unusual crash.
