May 11 (UPI) -- Video game maker Capcom is bringing its action role-playing series Monster Hunter to the Nintendo Switch for the first time with Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

The title is an updated, console version of Monster Hunter Generations for the Nintendo 3DS that has new features including a bigger roster of monsters, new hunting styles to utilize in battle and a new set of G Rank quests that offer more of a challenge.

An announcement trailer, released Thursday, highlights some of the new hunting styles and shows how fans will be able to join together with three other players through online and local multiplayer. Generations Ultimate can also save data from the 3DS version of the game transferred over.

Generations Ultimate differs from Capcom's recently released Monster Hunter World for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, which slightly reinvented the series.

Capcom, known for iconic franchises such as Street Fighter and Resident Evil, announced in March that World had become the best-selling game in the company's history.
