Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Aerosmith rocker Joe Perry took to Twitter Tuesday to give an update after his recent health crisis. ‏ "Doing well, thanks for all the love and support!" Perry tweeted, without offering further details on his condition or whereabouts.

The day before, he shared a photo of himself with Stan Lee in response to the news the Marvel comic book legend died at the age of 95.

Emergency officials transported Perry, 68, to a New York hospital Saturday night after performing "Walk This Way" as a guest at Billy Joel's Madison Square Garden concert.

An unnamed source told TMZ that Perry collapsed in his dressing room after he left the stage. Paramedics called to the scene put a tube down his throat to clear his air path, gave him oxygen and took him to a hospital.

"Perry remains in the hospital where he is alert and responsive," the musician's representative said in a statement to People.com Sunday morning.

Perry canceled a planned appearance Sunday night at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in Florida, but is expected to return to go back out on the road later this month, his spokesman said.
