Next 'True Detective: Night Country' episode to stream early

Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Max announced Monday that the fifth episode of True Detective: Night Country will premiere on the streaming service Friday at 9 p.m. EST. The episode airs on HBO as usual Sunday at 9 p.m.

This is a one-time-only early premiere. The season finale still will debut simultaneously on HBO and Max at 9 p.m. EST Feb. 18.

True Detective: Night Country is the fourth season of the detective anthology. Jodie Foster and Kali Reis star as two Alaskan detectives investigating a mass frozen grave.

Issa López wrote and directed Night Country. Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, John Hawkes, Isabella LaBlanc, Christopher Eccleston and more also star.
