Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Disney+ is gearing up for the release of the new series Ahsoka.
The streaming service shared a teaser for the sci-fi drama Friday featuring Rosario Dawson.
Ahsoka takes place in the Star Wars universe and is a spinoff of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
The show follows Ahsoka Tano (Dawson), a former Jedi Knight, as she "investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy."
The new teaser, titled "Masters and Apprentices," revisits iconic Jedi masters and apprentices in footage from previous Star Wars releases, including the films Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
The video also features scenes from Ahsoka, where the master and apprentice dynamic is seen between Ahsoka and her former protégée Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo).
Disney+ released another teaser, titled "Now or Never," that shows Ahsoka and her allies rise to meet new enemies.
Disney+ previously released a teaser that shows Ahsoka unite with Sabine (Bordizzo) and the pilot Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).
Lars Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant and Eman Esfandi also star.
Ahsoka will have a two-episode premiere Aug. 23, with subsequent episodes to follow weekly.
