Ryan Hansen joins 'Veronica Mars' revival at Hulu

Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Ryan Hansen has signed on to reprise his role as Dick Casablancas in Hulu's revival of Veronica Mars.

Hansen, who was a series regular on the cult series, which ran for two seasons on UPN and a third season on the CW, will appear in a recurring role alongside series star Kristen Bell in the eight-episode revival, scheduled to premiere on Hulu in 2019.

Hansen also appeared in the 2005 crowdfunded film continuation of Veronica Mars.

The new limited series, which follows the former teen detective as she attempts to track down a serial killer stalking the streets of Neptune, Calif., will also feature returning series actors Enrico Colantoni (Keith Mars), Jason Dohring (Logan), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Francis Capra (Weevil) and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas).

Hansen previously reprised his role as Dick Casablancas in Play It Again, Dick, which ran for a single eight-episode season on streaming network CW Seed in 2015.
