The 28-year-old actress put rumors of a feud to rest by reuniting with Somerhalder, her ex-boyfriend and Vampire Diaries co-star, and Reed, whom the actor married in 2015, for dinner this week.

"Can't believe how time flies. Farewell dinner with team Somereed! So good catching up with these goofballs. All [love]," she captioned a photo of herself with the couple on Instagram.
Somerhalder and Reed also shared pictures with Dobrev on their respective accounts. The 38-year-old actor and 28-year-old actress addressed past speculation at length in their captions.
"After years of websites pretending these two bad[expletive] ladies knew each other well and baseless, false information of back stabbing and hatred from low-brow websites filled the minds and hearts of fans... They were finally able to get together for their first real dinner. Let's stop spreading hate everyone, there's already too much of that right now in our world," Somerhalder wrote.
"For the last few years we thought addressing any baseless rumors with silence was the best way. Besides, who wants to respond to made up stories about 'friends backstabbing friends,' 'cheating exes,' or 'cast members exiting shows' on low-brow websites like hollywoodlife that are just perpetuating trends that preceded us. Yuck. I now see that silence was taken as an opportunity to fill in the blanks with even more falsities, and juicer stories, and we, yes, WE, believe we have a moral responsibility to young girls to end that narrative," Reed added.
Dobrev and Somerhalder started dating after meeting on the set of The Vampire Diaries, and split in 2013 after more than two years together. The actress told E! News after Somerhalder's wedding that her friendship with the actor was "still strong."
"When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful. They look happy and I am happy, and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it's not with us," she said.
Dobrev, who left The Vampire Diaries after Season 6, confirmed in January that she will reprise Elena Gilbert on the show's series finale. The CW series will come to a close Mar. 10 after eight seasons.
