CMT renews 'I Love Kellie Pickler' for Season 2

NEW YORK, March 4 (UPI) -- CMT says it has ordered a second season of the music-themed docu-series I Love Kellie Pickler, to begin airing in August.

The cable-television network also announced at its upfront presentation in New York Thursday plans for an annual music tent-pole event called Concert of the Summer, as well as the premiere dates for Still the King [June 12,] The Dude Perfect Show [April 14] and NASCAR: The Rise of American Speed [May 8.]

"Much like our hometown of Nashville, CMT embraces both tradition and change," Brian Philips, president of CMT, said in a statement.

"This year, we are doubling our original programming to celebrate the bigger and broader country fan base. We're crafting stories and characters that are multifaceted and unexpected."
