LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Singer Christina Milian and her professional partner Mark Ballas were eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Monday night.

The couple were given the boot because they had the lowest number of viewer votes.

"It's true shock," Milian said about their ouster. "I wasn't expecting that, but you know what? We had, I think, the best performance tonight that we had thus far. ... I've made some great memories and great friends here. Everyone has been fantastic and I've learned a lot about myself just being here. It's been amazing. If you take a great challenge, a great risk, you become a better person."

Still in the running for the coveted mirror-ball trophy are actresses Elizabeth Berkley, Leah Remini and Amber Riley, "Jersey Shore" alum Snooki Polizzi, singer-actor Corbin Bleu, comedian Bill Engvall, actor Brant Daugherty and reality TV personality Jack Osbourne.

Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet are co-hosts of the show.
