Feb. 12 (UPI) -- South Korean girl group Black Pink says it's "very excited" for its first-ever U.S. tour.

The K-pop group discussed the venture during its U.S. morning show debut on Tuesday's episode of Good Morning America.

"It's happening and we're starting in April. We're very, very excited for it," Jennie told host Amy Robach. "It's finally happening!"

Rosé said the tour came together after Black Pink was invited to perform at Coachella in April. Black Pink will become the first K-pop girl group to take the stage at the annual music festival.

"We recently got invited to perform at Coachella, which was unbelievable and we're really, really excited," Rosé said. "I guess we thought that it would just be the right timing to kick off our U.S. tour."

Black Pink ended its appearance on Good Morning America by performing its hit single "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du." The song's music video is the most-viewed video from a K-pop group on YouTube.

Black Pink's agency, YG Entertainment, announced the group's tour in a tweet Monday. Black Pink will kick off the venture April 17 in Los Angeles and bring the tour to a close May 8 in Fort Worth, Texas.
