LONDON, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- U.S. director Richard Lester has donated the working scripts for The Beatles' movies "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help" to the British Film Institute.

The BBC said the texts are part of the 78-year-old filmmaker's archive, which is going in its entirety to the institute.

Also included in the cache is correspondence from Hollywood stars Audrey Hepburn, Raquel Welch and Charlton Heston.

"The organization has always been very helpful to me," the British broadcaster quoted Lester as saying. "It is a pleasure for me to be able to offer them the detritus of my working life."
