Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Michael Myers is targeting those who survived his previous attacks on the town of Haddonfield in the new trailer for Halloween Kills.

The unstoppable killer forges a path of destruction as he heads towards his childhood home in the clip released on Monday.

Jamie Lee Curtis is back as Laurie Strode who warns that Michael is after a group of adults who were able to escape from his clutches 40 years ago when they were children. This is a callback to the original Halloween film that was released in 1978.

Laurie, along with her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak), get ready to fight back after the events of 2018's Halloween where Michael survived a raging fire.

Laurie also inspires Haddonfield to start fighting back against Michael with members of the town banning together to stop the masked menace.

"I want to take his mask off and see the life leave his eyes," Curtis says as Laurie.

Halloween Kills, from director David Gordon Green, is coming to theaters and Peacock on Oct. 15. Green wrote the script alongside Scott Teems and Danny McBride.
