CANNES, France, May 13 (UPI) -- George Clooney and wife Amal Clooney looked the picture perfect couple Thursday in Cannes.

The 55-year-old American actor and 38-year-old British-Lebanese human rights lawyer attended the premiere of Clooney's movie Money Monster at the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival.

Clooney wore a requisite black tuxedo, while Amal stunned in a yellow Atelier Versace gown with a long train. The flowing fabric proved to be a lot to handle, and the actor was seen helping his wife up the red carpet stairs.

The Money Monster star attended a photocall for the thriller with co-star Julia Roberts and director Jodie Foster earlier in the day. Roberts praised Amal during an interview with ET Canada at the film festival.

"Our lives have expanded in a beautiful way," the actress said of their respective families before commenting on how Clooney has changed. "Only when we're at their house, I see [Amal's] influence. In a beautiful way that all wives have, a kind of beautiful, loving influence."

Clooney and Amal married in Venice, Italy, in 2014. The actor had nothing but good things to say about his marriage while discussing his greater sense of contentment and accomplishment in the May issue of Esquire magazine.

"I've never been happier in a relationship by any stretch of the imagination," he revealed. "At 52 I found the love of my life and I'm really happy."

Money Monster co-stars Jack O'Connell, Dominic West and Caitriona Balfe and opens in theaters Friday. Clooney and Roberts previously collaborated on Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Oceans Eleven and Oceans Twelve.
