'Batman v Superman' trailer unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con

SAN DIEGO, July 11 (UPI) -- A 3 1/2-minute trailer for the eagerly awaited superhero picture Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con Saturday, then posted on YouTube for all to see.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as the respective, clashing, comic-book icons, the movie is scheduled for release March 25, 2016.

Its cast also includes Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons and Diane Lane.

"Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis' most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs," a synopsis said. "And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."
