LOS ANGELES, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Insurgent released a first teaser trailer on Wednesday.
The preview sees Tris Prior chase a vision of her mother Natalie (Ashley Judd) as dystopian Chicago crumbles around her. Both Natalie and her husband Andrew (Tony Goldwyn) died to save Tris in Divergent.
Insurgent is based on the second novel in Veronica Roth's Divergent series of books. The film was preceded by Divergent (2014), and will be followed by Allegiant: Part 1 (2016) and Allegiant: Part Two (2017).
Theo James will return as Four, with Ansel Elgort as Caleb, Miles Teller as Peter, Zoe Kravitz as Christina, Jai Courtney as Eric, Ray Stevensen as Marcus and Kate Winslet as Jeanine. Newcomers Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer and Suki Waterhouse will portray Evelyn, Johanna and Marlene.
Insurgent opens in theaters March 20, 2015.
