Blake Shelton calls Gwen Stefani his 'better half' on her birthday

Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Blake Shelton is celebrating wife Gwen Stefani's 52nd birthday.

The 45-year-old country music singer and television personality marked the occasion Sunday by dedicating a post to Stefani on Instagram.

Shelton shared a photo from his July wedding to Stefani that shows the couple dancing.

"Happy birthday to my better half.. my WIFE!!!! I love you @gwenstefani!" he captioned the post.

Stefani celebrated her birthday with Shelton, her kids, and family and friends at home. She shared videos from the party on Instagram Stories, including a look at her birthday cake and clips with her sister and mom.

"thank u for all the years of love and b day wishes today - love u gx ps to all my homies that texted me today thank u!!" gx," Stefani wrote on Instagram.

Shelton and Stefani married July 3 at their home in Tishomingo, Okla. Stefani later shared photos from the wedding on Instagram.

"July 3rd 2021 dreams do come true!!! @blakeshelton i love you," she wrote.

Stefani was previously married to Gavin Rossdale and has three sons, Kingston, 15, Zuma, 13, and Apollo, 7, with the singer. Shelton was previously married to Miranda Lambert.

Stefani last released the song "Slow Clap" in March, while Shelton released his 12th studio album, Body Language, in May. Shelton is also a coach in The Voice Season 21, which premiered on NBC in September.
