'Sons of Anarchy' alum Theo Rossi welcomes second child

Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Former Sons of Anarchy star Theo Rossi is a dad of two.

The 42-year-old actor confirmed through his rep Thursday that wife Meghan gave birth to son Arlo Benjamin in the afternoon.

"Theo and Meghan welcome Arlo Benjamin Rossi to the world today at 3:06 p.m. in New York," the rep told Us Weekly. "Baby Arlo came in at 8 lbs 13 oz, and is 20 1/2 inches."

Rossi, who is already parent to 2-year-old son Kane with Meghan, shared his excitement over Arlo's birth with People.

"My wife and I couldn't be happier or more grateful to welcome our son, Arlo Benjamin Rossi, into the world!" he told the magazine. "My wife and the little man are doing terrific, but I think our 2-year-old son, Kane, is the happiest now that's he's a big brother."

Rossi married Meghan in November 2014, and announced his wife's second pregnancy in May. He couldn't help but gush about Meghan in a post dedicated to all of the "incredible" women and mothers in July.

"As my warrior of a wife @meggomcrossi is preparing to have our next child any day now I just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to ALL the incredible women on this planet. Not just the mothers, but ALL women in general," the star wrote.

"I am truly in awe of your strength, patience and selflessness. Without you leading the way and keeping this world spinning the rest our [expletive] would have been long gone. #LIFE #Warrior #Grateful #Truth," he added.

Rossi played Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz on the FX drama Sons of Anarchy, and now stars as Hernan "Shades" Alvarez on the Netflix series Luke Cage. Luke Cage will return for a second season in 2018.
