Karrueche Tran granted five year restraining order against Chris Brown

June 16 (UPI) -- A judge granted actress Karrueche Tran a five-year restraining order Thursday against her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Brown has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Tran's residence, workplace and vehicle and cannot contact her by any means, court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight stated.

The singer was also ordered to pay the lawyer fees associated with the trial and has to attend a 52-week batterer intervention program.

Tran testified in court Thursday that Brown demanded that she return diamond rings he had gifted to her, TMZ reported. Tran said that Brown had threatened her over the jewelry and had sent threats over text messages, such as "I can get my money back and I'm tired of playing games," and "I promise you I will make your life hell."

In February, Tran was granted a temporary restraining order against Brown after the 29-year-old stated that Brown "threatened to kill me," and "threatened to shoot me."

"He said if no one else can have me, then he's gonna 'take me out," she added at the time. The actress also shared in her sworn statement that during their relationship Brown had "punched me in my stomach twice," and "pushed me down the stairs."

Tran and Brown had dated on-and-off until their split in March of 2015.

In January, Brown was involved in a feud with rapper Soulja Boy that, according to the "Crank That" performer, started after he was confronted by Brown for liking a photo of Tran on social media. The rivals exchanged a number of jabs on social media including a collection of memes aimed at one another and agreed to face each other in a celebrity boxing match that was later called off.
