March 3 (UPI) -- Netflix teased two upcoming Dave Chappelle standup comedy specials in a new trailer.

The black and white clip, released Thursday, features the comic sitting at a table outside smoking a cigarette as remarks from the specials can be heard in the background.

"I know I've been gone for a very long time," Chappelle can be heard saying, a reference to how he has largely remained away from the public eye after he left Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show in 2005.

Other opening jokes in the teaser include lines such as "I've met O.J. Simpson on four different occasions" and "I'm black, but I'm also Dave Chappelle."

The trailer ends with the announcement that the specials will premiere on Netflix on March 21.

"He's back. And with plenty on his mind. Dave Chappelle returns with two stand-up specials from his personal comedy vault," reads the synopsis.

Netflix had originally announced in November that Chappelle would be headlining three standup programs.
