LOS ANGELES, April 20 (UPI) -- Chrissy Teigen shared the first photo of her newborn daughter Luna on social media. Posted to Instagram Tuesday, the snap features the model cradling baby Luna while sitting outside alongside the family dog.

"Hi my lulu!" Teigen captioned the photo referencing the newborn's nickname.
Born Thursday, Luna Simone Stephens is Teigen and husband John Legend's first child together. In an earlier social media post, Teigen announced that Luna had arrived weighing 6 lb. 11 oz.
"They're doing great. They're happy. They're elated," said Legend's producing partner Mike Jackson to Entertainment Tonight, who works alongside the singer on the newly released television drama Underground. "It's a long time coming. They went through a lot to have this child. They're excited. We're all really blessed to have her a part of all our lives."
