Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos reveal matching injuries

NEW YORK, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos revealed their matching injuries Thursday on Instagram.

The 44-year-old television host posted a photo of herself and the 44-year-old actor wearing similar leg casts to protect their damaged limbs. Ripa shared her incredulity in the caption, writing, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW??????????? WTF????? @instasuelos."

Consuelos posted the same picture, revealing he is dealing with a "small calf tear." Ripa broke her foot during a workout class last month, and later joked about her husband's reaction to the incident on Live! with Kelly and Michael.

"Mark is at the hospital with me and has never in 21 years felt the need to photograph me, videotape me, when I have full hair and makeup," she said. "But yesterday, he was like [Francesco] Scavullo. He followed me around with a camera. He was never more alive. He loved this moment of suffering."

Ripa and Consuelos met on the set of ABC soap opera All My Children in 1995, and married in May 1996. The couple have three children, 18-year-old Michael, 14-year-old Lola and 12-year-old Joaquin, and own production company Milojo together.
