LOS ANGELES, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Dax Shepard and wife Kristen Bell are proud parents to new daughter Delta.

The 40-year-old actor and 34-year-old actress opened up about the infant at the 2015 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday. The event marked the couple's first red carpet appearance since Bell gave birth in December, and the pair said they are enjoying second-time parenthood.

"In theory, it gets easier because you go through the rough time once and then it's on autopilot," Shepard told Giuliana Rancic of E! News. "That's what we've been told, and we're counting on it ... We're just going through what everyone else is going through, and it's really fun."

Shepard and Bell have been together since 2007, and welcomed daughter Lincoln in March 2013. The couple married in October 2013, and have actively worked to protect Lincoln and other celebrity children from the paparazzi and media.

Shepard currently stars as Crosby Braverman on NBC drama Parenthood. The series is in its sixth and final season, and airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET. Bell most recently appeared as Veronica Mars on spinoff web series Play It Again, Dick.
