Lorde stands up for Taylor Swift after DJ Diplo attacks her on Twitter

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Kiwi singer Lorde slammed DJ Diplo on Twitter after he shared a series of message about launching a campaign to "Get Taylor Swift a Booty."

Diplo, who is reportedly dating Swift's former friend Katy Perry, started mocking the "Shake It off" singer on Twitter Wednesday.

He later retweeted a series of messages supporting his body-shaming operation including a link to a Fundly campaign and to a White House petition looking to "Get Taylor Swift a Booty."

While Swift rarely gives into the provocations of the Internet, her 18-year-old friend Lorde decided to take a different approach and responded to one of Diplo's tweets with an insult of her own.

Lorde and Diplo worked together on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Mockingjay - Part 1.
