LONDON, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Jennifer Lawrence discussed her Hunger Games character's taste in music during recent photocall for Mockingjay - Part 1, the third installment of the series in London.

"I think Katniss [Everdeen] would be a huge Lorde fan and obviously Taylor Swift," the Oscar-winner said of the Kiwi singer and the former country star both of whom have written songs for the Hunger Games movies.

Swift co-wrote two tracks for the first installment of the film and Lorde curated the soundtrack for Mockingjay - Part 1, and wrote the track "Yellow Flicker Beat" for the movie.

"It was so bizarre really to hear a musical version of what emotionally you feel. She captured that character so magically," Lawrence said of Lorde's dark song.

Asked to describe her character's state in the new movie, the actress explained Mockingjay - Part 1 finds Katniss "completely bare and trying to rebuild herself." Lawrence praised the character's strength and joked that, she "would have just been crying every day, 'Where's my mom?'"
