LONDON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Keira Knightley recently posed topless to protest the use of Photoshop.

The 29-year-old actress was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for Interview magazine, and revealed her breasts for the shoot. Knightley's bust was famously made fuller on the poster for King Arthur (2004), and the star was adamant the photos depict her body without digital editing.

"I've had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it's paparazzi photographers or for film posters," she told The London Times. "That [shoot] was one of the ones where I said, 'Okay, I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch.'"

"It does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are," she related. "I think women's bodies are a battleground and photography is partly to blame. Our society is so photographic now, it becomes more difficult to see all of those different varieties of shape."

Knightley consistently makes headlines for her slender frame, and many have expressed concern over her weight. The star has publicly stated she is not anorexic, and sued the Daily Mail in 2007 for suggesting she had an eating disorder.

Knightley will next appear alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game on Nov. 28. The actress is also scheduled to star with Jake Gyllenhaal, Robin Wright and Josh Brolin in Everest in 2015.
