Kelly Ripa accidentally sends in-laws sexy selfie

NEW YORK, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Kelly Ripa said she recently took a sexy photo of herself to send to husband Mark Consuelos, but her in-laws mistakenly intercepted the selfie.

In an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Ripa said she had her own personal semi-nude photo scandal.

"I sent him a cute, adorable butt selfie in my underpants," she said. "It's the only time I've ever sent a semi-nude anything, ever!"

She had forgotten that her photos were synced to her iCloud account, and so was the iPad she and Consuelos gave to his parents.

Consuelos' parents apparently liked what they saw and wrote Ripa a note.

"They're like, 'Your exercise classes are really paying off and you look great. May God continue to bless you,'" she said. "Are you kidding me?!"

"I'm a cautionary tale," she added.
