LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Elizabeth Banks cozied up to her "cuties" and Hunger Games co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence in a Twitter photo she shared Wednesday.

The trio showcases their best smiles in the pic, which was taken during their promotional tour for the upcoming third installment of the Hunger Games saga, Mockingjay: Part 1.

Hemsworth and Lawrence will reprise their roles as Gale Hawthorne and Katniss Everdeen in the new film. Bank's character Effie Trinket will also appear in the movie even though her character does not have a big part in the third book. The Daily Mail reports the novel's author, Suzanne Collins, requested for Bank's Effie to play a more prominent role in the upcoming films because of her unique approach to playing the character.

"When Suzanne Collins saw Catching Fire, she called and one of the first things she said was, "There's no way Effie Trinket cannot be in the Mockingjay films," said Mockingjay director Francis Lawrence. "Effie brings such warmth and fun and levity to these dark stories. She's the fish out of water in this one and fans will love how she has adapted to the world of District 13."

News of Banks' extended role broke earlier this week when new still images from the film were revealed. Mockingjay: Part 1 will hit theaters on November 21.
