ROBIN ROBERTS: "Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts says she will undergo a bone-marrow transplant Thursday.

Roberts, 51, left "GMA" on medical leave Aug. 30. The breast-cancer survivor has myelodysplastic syndrome, a blood condition formerly called pre-leukemia, but her treatment was temporarily postponed when her 88-year-old mother died.

"The start of last week went well, but the daily chemo/treatment caught up to me by the weekend," People.com reported Roberts wrote in her blog Tuesday. "My body is so weak, but not my mind. YOU give me the courage to keep going."

CLINT EASTWOOD: Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood, reacting to criticism of his speech at the Republican convention, suggested whoever invited him to speak may have been "dumb."

In an interview with the syndicated TV show "Extra," airing Tuesday, the star of the new movie "Trouble with the Curve," said he had no regrets about the controversial appearance in August, in which he spoke to an empty chair and told his audience he was speaking to President Barack Obama.

Republican nominee Mitt Romney's campaign praised Eastwood's presentation, but it was widely panned as well.

"People loved it or hated it, and that's fine," Eastwood in the "Extra" interview. "I figure if somebody's dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they're gonna have to take what they get."

Eastwood, 82, said the technique is reminiscent of one-sided conversations Shelley Berman and Bob Newhart often used in their standup comedy. He said he used the idea once while speaking at the funeral of a friend, "and I started talking to mythical people imitating him."

Asked if he would do the same convention speech again, given the chance, Eastwood said: "I never look backward. It's done and it's done. I probably would, I wouldn't be afraid of it."

TORI SPELLING: U.S. reality TV star Tori Spelling was "resting comfortably" Tuesday after childbirth complications necessitated emergency surgery, her publicist said.

"Tori underwent emergency surgery over the weekend due to complications from her C-section," her representative told People.com. "She remains in the hospital and is resting comfortably."

No further details were immediately disclosed.

Spelling, 39, gave birth to son Finn Davey Aug. 30. He is Spelling's fourth child born by Caesarean section and her second within a year.

She and husband Dean McDermott are also the parents of 11-month-old daughter Hattie, daughter Stella, 4, and son Liam, 5, People.com said.

BLAKE LIVELY: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds applied for their marriage license in South Carolina five days after celebrating their wedding, records show.

UsMagazine.com reported the papers were filed in Charleston County Probate Court Sept. 13 and their official wedding date is listed as Sept. 14.

The "Green Lantern" co-stars, who have been dating for about a year, exchanged marriage vows at the Boone Hall Plantation Sept. 9.
