Lopez' dad: She's having twins

NEW YORK, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Jennifer Lopez' father David has confirmed the Bronx-born singer and actress is pregnant with twins.

The confirmation ends months of media speculation regarding how many babies Lopez and her crooner husband Marc Anthony are expecting.

"Yes, twins," People.com said David Lopez revealed in an interview on the Spanish-language show "Escandalo TV." "The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it's a hereditary thing."

Lopez said he couldn't be happier.

"I'm very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years," he said.
