LONDON, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A British court may likely prove the decisive judge of whether accountant Robert Brown is indeed the illegitimate son of Princess Margaret.
The 51-year-old has petitioned London's High Court Family Division to investigate his claim he is Princess Margaret's illegitimate son by revealing the contents of secret wills left by the princess and the Queen Mother, the Daily Mirror reported Wednesday.
"I am not here to embarrass anybody," Brown said of his court motion. "I know the evidence is limited, but I have threads of memory from throughout my life. I'm gritty, determined and I'm not going to go away until I get the answer."
Brown says wills could provide evidence that Margaret, who died in 2002, did indeed give birth to him and, therefore, he is entitled to be 12th in line for the British throne.
Cynthia Joan Brown, who once worked for the Queen's former dresser Hardy Amies, is listed as Brown's official mother.
