Midler's NYRP holds online auction

NEW YORK, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project is conducting an impressive online auction and will coincide with the Hulaween Gala in New York City on Oct. 31.

Charitybuzz.com, which is hosting the online auction, reported that Stevie Nicks is slated to perform at the gala. Also appearing will be Willie Nelson, who is to be honored for his environmental work.

The online auction, which is now open, includes an opportunity to have tea with Meryl Streep, and tickets to see Barbara Streisand at the MGM Grand. Also, Elton John fans can bid to see him perform and meet him afterwards at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Also included are opportunities to meet celebrity cook and talk show host Rachael Ray, Rosie O'Donnell and Joy Behar from "The View" and actress Lily Tomlin, as well as win trips to New Zealand and the Indy 500.

Charitybuzz reported that Sting has donated an autographed guitar from his personal collection to the auction.
