Barrymore confronted at book signing

LONDON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The angry father of Stuart Lubbock, the man who died in Michael Barrymore's pool years ago, confronted the British TV personality at a book signing in London.

The Daily Mail reported that 61-year-old Terry Lubbock waited in line at Monday's signing for Barrymore's new book, "Awight Now -- Setting the Record Straight," only to angrily confront the former British game show host over the mysterious death of his son in 2001.

Before being escorted out by security, Lubbock accused Barrymore of lying about the circumstances that led his 31-year-old son to die during a party at the new author's home and offered no apology later regarding the confrontation.

An autopsy showed drug traces in the victim's system and anal injuries, the newspaper said.

"I have got complete and utter contempt for the man," he said of Barrymore, who allegedly fled the scene of the younger Lubbock's death, the newspaper reported.

"What I wanted to achieve was between me and Barrymore," he added. "I wanted to tell him that's what he's saying about my son is complete lies and the book proves it."

The paper said that Lubbock intends to release his own book which will detail his beliefs regarding the questionable death of his son.
