Marcia Cross announces pregnancy

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Actress Eva Longoria says Marcia Cross's real life pregnancy will be written into the "Desperate Housewives" script.

In an interview with Access Hollywood's Billy Bush, Longoria spilled the beans about the plan the show's creator, Marc Cherry, has to write Cross's pregnancy into the script.

She did not know who the writers plan to make the father of Cross's character's baby, saying "Who knows who is going to knock her up on our show!"

She also told Bush how Cross broke the news to her fellow cast members. "I had everybody over for dinner. Marcia, Felicity (Huffman) and Brenda (Strong) came over and Marcia told us she had an announcement," said Longoria.

"Did you know she was going to make an announcement?" Bush asked.

"No, but we were all suspecting it because she was acting funny and she had been sick a couple of times, so we were all like, 'She is pregnant,'" explained Longoria. "And we couldn't be happier!"
