Billy Crudup in 'Mission: Impossible III'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Actor Billy Crudup will star alongside Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Keri Russell in "Mission: Impossible III."

J.J. Abrams is directing the action flick, which has a May 2, 2006, release date, Daily Variety reported.

Crudup will join the shooting already under way after he finishes his part in Robert De Niro's "The Good Shepherd," Variety said.

Crudup will next be seen in "Trust the Man" with Julianne Moore and Maggie Gyllenhaal, which is scheduled to premiere during the Toronto Film Festival.
