Music bonds Presley closer to father

LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Lisa Marie Presley says making music has enriched her posthumous relationship with her father, Elvis Presley.

"He's been, like, untouchable in my eyes in terms of idolized for what he did," says Presley, who just released her second album, "Now What." "I think that me going through the same thing on a much lesser scale -- I feel more locked into him in that way."

As to what her father would have thought of her music career, Presley -- who has been married to Michael Jackson and actor Nicholas Cage -- says, "I have no idea. You'd have to ask my mom on that one. I'm sure he'd want me to do what I wanted to do."

Presley, 37, has two children -- daughter, Riley, 15, and son, Benjamin, 12 -- from her marriage to guitarist Danny Keough

"Now What" is the follow-up to Presley's gold-certified 2003 debut "To Whom it May Concern." She begins a short North American tour on April 26 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
