Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The Department of Defense on Thursday announced that Raytheon Co. has been awarded a $22.1 million contract for hardware and software requirements to support the Navy's Next Generation Jammer.
The products provided by Raytheon will be installed on the Ground Power and Cooling System in support of the Next Generation Jammer. The modification was selected by the U.S. Navy in 2013 to replace the more than 40-year-old ALQ-99 jammer systems on the Boeing EA-18G Growler, an aircraft specifically designed for electronic warfare.
