GTSI selected for AIT-IV contract vehicle

HERNDON, Va., Aug. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has selected GTSI Corp. to compete as one of five awardees for task orders supporting automatic identification solutions.

U.S. company GTSI announced it was selected by the Army Program Executive office for a Enterprise Information Systems for a Automatic Identification Technology Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract.

Under the deal, GTSI will address the military's Automatic Identification Technology-IV requirements that including logistics tracking, locating, and monitoring support among other services.

"As one of the largest solutions contracts in the company's history and building on our extensive track record in the area of automatic identification technology, we look forward to working with the Army and other departments to help them build sophisticated asset management and supply chain solutions to meet their critical mission needs," Jim Leto, GTSI chief executive officer, said in a statement.
